It's been a great first couple weeks of school.  Thank you for working on the assignments and trying your best.  We will work with some new concepts tomorrow called "Words to Go"  See you then and happy almost Friday!!

Welcome to ALD

It is my pleasure to welcome you to Academic Language Development.  I'll be your teacher this year, and as you can tell from my personal biography on this blog, I am a native Texan who is in love with educating young minds.

I look forward to getting to know all of you better and to helping you discover your voice both inside and outside of the classroom.

• 3D Issues textbook (provided)
• 3D Portfolio (provided)
• Composition or spiral notebook
• Pens, pencils, highlighters

What to expect this week:

• Getting to know you activities (no silly games, I promise)
• Diagnostic (to see where you are in terms of language)
• Learning about classroom procedures (what I tolerate and expect)
• Material distribution
